    Stop panicing!!!!!!!
Place your finger gently on the top of the egg being careful not to move it at all and you will feel tiny vibrations when they move. There is not alot of space left in there for them to do the highland fling.
When they have pipped you will see more movement on the eggs.
You need to raise the humidity a bit to help them hatch.

    • Linda, find yourself a good book, go for a long walk or something. They will hatch when they are ready!!
One thing I beg of you and this will be the most difficult thing. DO NOT, HOWEVER TEMPTED, try to help them out of the egg. You will damage them. It is so difficult to watch them struggle and you feel you must just ease off a little of the shell and then a little more and if you go a tiny bit too far and tear the membrane even a little you will have a severely damaged baby!
I speak from my own sad and too hasty experience. Only if the membrane around the hole the chick has made is bone dry and shrunk can you "help" just a bit.
That said I'm sure your chicks will all hatch in copy-book fashion and all our waiting and anguish will be over.
Give those babies a kiss from me when they finally emerge!!xxxxx

                • Crikey you'll give yourself a nervous breakdown if you carry on like this all night, bet if you go make dinner there'll be one on its way. One of the foals I bred spent every half hour through the night checking and it was born between my checks. Watched pot and all that

Likewise here, all the goats we bred (horses too) managed to 'slip under the wire' even with baby monitors in the stables we missed almost every birth! We did get to see Deerhound and mini dachshund puppies born though - and despite the size difference of the mum's the puppies were very similar at birth.

                    Hope your chicks hatch successfully

i've seen births of just about everything but this is actually much more stressful, cos they are sat in front of me ..... and so many things could go wrong, and i've never done eggs without a mummy before

been looking at duck eggs today lol
