pop hole size

Looking round the web there are all sorts of recommended sizes.
Typically 25cm W by 30cm H
I assume chickens must drive buses as you could get one through there !


For a normal laying chicken what's the minimum ?

i would suggest going into the garden with a tape measure, and weasure the height and width of the hen, and making it about an inch wider and taller ..... unless you haven't got any yet, then you may have to go to the butchers with said tape measure, and add a bit on for legs and head

It depends on the size of the chicken but we have learnt that they can get through holes alot smaller than themselves if they want to!!!!
