Slugs for chickens

I don't like the idea of killing slugs, but they do eat all my vegetables in the vegetable plot, and wondered what members views are on killing slugs by hand, and feeding them to the chickens? If so, is there a limit to how many 3 chickens can safely get through? Thanks

Just one each every day will be enough. If you give them too many they get the runs.

I wouldn't bother killing them just put them in a jamjar and then give them to the chicks.

Same here, just lob the slugs and snails into the run and let the chooks squabble over them I do sometimes have to break the shells on the snails though
