    Eyren, I agree with Sue. That first aid list is fab and I'm going to get and start stocking a box of that stuff myself as you never know when you'll need it.

      You're very welcome! Chickens are good at hiding symptoms of illness, so it's best to be prepared for emergencies!

      Couple more things I thought of:

      * Vaseline - used to treat scaly leg mite, and also used in conjunction with...
      * Latex gloves - in case your hen has a prolapse

      (You can read up about prolapses on somewhere like the Practical Poultry forum - it's unusual in pullets but not uncommon in older laying hens)
