I think a birds inclination is to roost in a tree at night! If you want it to use your coop instead and you aint got a top on your run maybe feather clipping is the only way round it! It should also stop them escaping over the top of the run!Originally posted by ChrisB View PostOK - there's always one, but I've got to ask it
Why do you feel you have to clip the feathers?

Clipping isn't like hobbling or crippling an animal ... it's a bit like keeping a dog on a lead... done for its own safety. If my parrot was unclipped, he'd be liable to fly out the window and end up as cat-food. Clipped, he can still fly round the room, but doesn't have the 'height' or 'distance' nec.for an escape bid.Originally posted by ChrisB View PostWhy do you feel you have to clip the feathers? All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
