Advice please on this patch plan

Plus i do have room elsewhere for pots where the carrots and tomatoes will go, and a whole other bed round the patio for herbs. And the conservatory for chillis and the allotment for potatoes and the rest of the carrots and broccoli. And maybe cauliflower but i know thats really hard

Oh god i havent thought about next year! Is it just brassicas that need moving? I hope i can put beans in the same place as i kind of need them at the back.

All of my beds are SFG so that I don't have to worry about crop rotation, I'll just make sure I don't put the same crops in successionally.

As I understand it, the allium family and carrots/parsnips also benefit from being moved about. Reduces the risk of white rot in onions and carrot fly.

Cauliflower IS hard...I only grew it well once...but that was the FIRST time I tried, beginners luck is a wonderful thing so go for it! Bet you grow a good'un!

How do you know what to plant where? It looks great (I'm a bit OCD) so the regularity rally appeals to me. Though I would probably get stressed if say the sprouts leaned over into the next bed. I won't be able to try it easily though as my beds are tear drop shaped (long story)

That's the beauty of it Bal, you don't have to know where to plant them. So long as the basics are in place like taller crops on the north side. Shape of beds should be no problem, just adapt & have tear drop outers with SFG beds in the middle.

Will have to try it next year. At the moment one bed is full with onions the second will have peas and beans the thirs will have sweet corn and the last is for everything else.
What's the advantage over conventional planting?
