Where does everyone buy their seeds?

As per the title really...

Of course there is the usual, Homebase, garden centres etc.
But anyone know of any other good places or websites to get good quality seeds? Is it best to stick with the 'name brand' ones, or are you just paying for the name?
And of course places that sell a good range of varieties.

I tend to get mine from various sources, i have no problem with cheaper seeds but you do tend to have less choice that way. Plently of good online retailers about. I tend to use Kings Seeds

I find Moreveg sow grow eat and enjoy. Quality vegetable and herb seeds. good value for money as you get a smaller amount of seeds but also pay a lower price.

Depends on what you want to grow really. The usual varieties or unusual ones. Organic or not.

I like realseeds and get mine from there whenever possible...more for the ethics of the company than anything else.

But the longer I've gardening, the more I have come to value swapped seeds over purchased...especially those lovingly saved by a fellow grower.

Wilko is my sweet shop! Must admit though that I tend to mostly buy pots and compost etc from it and cheap packets of flower seeds.

This year I got a few beans, squashes, pumpkins etc from ebay and found Premier Seeds to be excellent value I have an allotment but don't need 300+ seeds of one particular variety and I found that PS sold loads of stuff in smaller pack sizes for just 99p. I worked out what I wanted from one seed catalogue and it came to just under �50! Bought the same lot in smaller pack sizes (99p each!) and I got the whole lot for under �12

I buy things from them too. I've had excellent germination on their stuff this year. On the other hand, there are no instructions on the packet, though they do give them on their shop site. Some of their seeds come packaged in foil sachets, others in resealable plastic bags. I'm not sure how well seeds will keep in the plastic from one year to the next if you don't use them all up.

I also buy from moreveg and other places. I even pay top dollar T&M prices if I spot them in a garden centre and am drawn to them like a kid in a sweetshop (more fool me). Lidl seeds are also a tremendous bargain. Not an enormous range, but they do have some good stuff. Mr Snoop bought me some Nantes carrot seed tape from them (not quite as a Valentine's day present, but along those lines) and they grew great guns.

I use Wallis, much better value than the high street places, and i have found really good quality -as good if not better than highstreet /DIY store stuff. A lot of packets are under a quid. For obscure stuff I use Chiltern which have a very big range.

Moles Seeds.

They provide excellent quality and BIG packets. They seem to last for ages as well (I've sown broadbeans I bought in 2012 with 80% germination.

I bought some seeds once from Premier Seeds through eBay but they weren't what they claimed to be (they said they were brown berry tomato but they were nothing like the picture on their site) and when I queried, the response was "unhelpful".

I use a lot of on-line seed catalogues, also wilkinsons, and then from shows.... Usually after chatting to the seller.
