Planning to grow veg for almost the first time...

Sorry a bit late saying hello. Think normally it's said best growing things north/south facing. Do you have any trees near by that could affect your sun light?
I would rip up the plastic. The guy who had my plot before me must of kept the plastic weed suppressor business going with the amount he chuffin put down. Still pulling the darn stuff up.

As others have said, I'd remove the stones, at least wherever you want to plant root veg.
