I've cleared my plot of rubbish had a good look around and got an idea in mind of how its going to look. Question is, there is 6 rose bushes smack bang in the middle of the plot and i don't want them there. are they ok to move now and if so any tips on how to?

Take as much rootball with them as you can, although Roses are pretty tough so will often be happy with some root damage.and if so any tips on how to?
I would give them some Rootgrow (must be in contact with the roots, not sprinkled in the planting hole) to help them re-establish, particularly if the soil has grown Roses recently (which you presumably won't know).
I would prune them half way back now (reduced wind rock), and prune hard in early March (after hard frosts which might cause die-back of stems and thus not leave you with much if you hard-prune them now)K's Garden blog the story of the creation of our garden
