Are there anyseeds I can sow now in the conservatory?

I'm currently in the process of building a small veg plot in the garden and already have autumn onions and garlic planted. I am also fairly high up on the waiting list for a lottie, and should hopefully have one in a month or so...

At the moment I will have an area 2m x 4m free for planting, excluding the potential allotment

I have a good range of seeds ready to get started and was just wondering if there is anything I can start off now to be ready to go into the ground in spring, or am I jumping the gun?

Our conservatory is heated, but is usually a few degrees cooler than the house but significantly warmer than outside, I don't know the exact temperature range so I shall get a thermometer.

I can also use most of the windowsills in the house if I need to.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I've just sown in modules, curly kale, spring cabbage, mizuna greens, pak choi, and Red Russian kale. They are already sturdy little seedlings and I will be leaving them until they are sturdy little plants before planting them out under some cover, like a polythene cloche. Most of these things will survive a normal winter and will come into bearing in the early spring to mid spring.

My view would be that it is too hot. Warmth but with rubbish light (Wintertime) will make the plants leggy and weak. Flip side is that, heated, things sown later (late Winter or early Spring) will get under way quickly, and the light quality and day-length will be improving, so Patience Grasshopper

P.S. OTOH if you want to put a Grow Lamp, similar to the ones that the C*n***is folk use , in your conservatory then by supplementing the weak sunlight you would be able to grow anything you like! For seedlings a lighting rig (usually multiple rows of fluorescent tubes, or LEDs) will do [they have to be within a inch or two of the seedling, so need plants of uniform height]. Worth reading the Cannabis forums for info on grow lamps, they have it down to a fine art, and check out the Hydroponic shows for equipment. You could sow some Basil, it's apparently an all year round windowsill darling!
