Goodbye forsythia

Hi all had to cut down a beautiful forsythia today to make room for my potting shed. so sad to do but had to be done (made OH wait until lit had flowered at least)
I was wondering if I could use the branches as supports for peas, beans etc. they are very pliable at the moment, but will they be strong enough when the dry out.

Take cuttings from it and replant elsewhere.

Wish I had thought of that. I was very tidy and stripped all the branches down for compost or garden bin will it be too late to try and retrieve one tomorrow am?

Its worth a try!! Just look for some of this year's new growth, put them in a slit trench, or a pot. about half their length deep (if that makes sense) and hope for the best.
I've found forsythia easy to propagate from cuttings.

Yes, so long as they are dead. If not, they'll root all over the place
