Also, a lot of people don't think to TURN IT OVER!! It's all lovely and new on the other side, don't go and buy new stuff, turn the planks over and start again

Unfortunately my decking has no or fewer grooves on the other side which would make it super slippy.

I do like arpoets idea of mixing sharp sand with the decking paint, our front door steps are painted with a similar thing.

Thank you all ever so much I'll give it a good scrub and paint it with some sharp sand mixed in, I shan't be doing the splits anymore

I do have the cleanest decking in Rochester! Can't stand crumbs in my decking!

We used to Hoover the decking regularly

Just use a bleach and water mix on a dry day. Job done for at least 4 months. Use the cheap thin bleach as well as the more expensive ones have agents and perfums that don't help
