This has to be the best advice ever.

I spotted one yesterday that needed picked but I still had the one in the fridge from the day before that I planned cooking last night. Thankfully my Stepson visit the plot and I "gifted" him the one on the plant, when I picked it there was a much bigger one directly underneath it that I couldn't see and should have been picked first.

Yellow it is for me next year

I find the yellow ones look nicer, and grow faster than the green ones, as well as being easier to spot. I'm growing Parador.

A courrrrgette Hazel?! Sounds like what we get in these 'ere parrrrts

DH reckons I take courgettes from their mother far too early, but I like them young and tender. I often chop them raw into a salad, or slice them into a pan for breakfast. Really I've just never got over that *squeeee* of having grown something I can pick and eat, so I always rush in too early!
Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?
