Blasted weeds!

It looks like Acanthus Molllis - Bear's Breeches. I love them!!

Me too Rusty! The leaves on mine are more indented and it never really died back over winter this year - so looks rather battered..
The test is - has CookYV's flowered? Probably not if it is decimated as a weed every year

When we first moved into this house it looked like it was going to flower (could see white) but nothing happened gave it another year and still nothing, it has just taken over and the wife & I hate it!!

That's what I thought it was but didn't want to suggest as couldn't see why it was on an allotment. Reread thread it's in a garden so perfectly possible. I quite like them too. Probably doesn't earn it's keep so has to go.

It does self seed, so may well have blown in from somewhere else I like the spiny flowers - deceptively vicious
