Today I picked my first four ripe tomatoes. One Shirley and three Gardeners Delight.
I made a sandwich of the tomatoes, onions and cheese with lots of black pepper. Absolutely delecious and well worth the long wait. Hope this is the first of many.

So, I stuck it in a big pot to do it's own thing. Next to nothing in the way of side shoots, but endless growth. I've had to remove the growing tip because it is beyond my picking point. ( bare feet - standing flat - I am 5'7" ) I I hadn't picked the top out it would have carried along the ridge of the GH. I know all the arguements about tying then to the top of the GH, but having been bereaved just over a year ago I am still struggling to keep up with the garden. Now, what's all that dust on the on the sideboard. It looks as tho' it hasn't been touched since.......
