      Welcome...friendly bunch on here...outstanding advise!!

      get a book (I like Carol Klein - Grow your own veg)...get some paper and pen...plan out what you want to grow....get some seeds (lots on here!) and get ready for March time to get sowing!

          A suggestion on the rabbit front...

          ...if you would rather leave them free range (and I always prefer to see free range animals) - maybe you could consider locking up the veg. Rather like an inside-out run.

          For low growing things like salads you could probably sort out some sort of wooden framed cage with rabbit wire (I could be making that up, I'm assuming there's such a thing as rabbit wire - like chicken wire for rabbits - I dunno) to keep the salads safe. An open topped solution could do too, especially for the taller things.
