  • Chilli and sweet peas

    Both still not flowering.

Chilli Cayenne is 22 ins tall and on sunny windowsil looking healthy but no flowers.

Sweet peas very bushy in a pot on patio and have reached top of the canes but no flowers yet.

Any ideas what I can do to get them flowering?

They both seem to have lots of green growth. It may be an indication that you've been spoiling them with a high-nitrogen feed.
High potash feed is given for plants that produce flowers/fruit.

If you starve them a bit, they will produce flowers (because they think they are dying and will rush to reproduce before they cark it)

Anyone ever tried growing their own ginger?

I'm having a go and have followed an instructional video on YouTube about it. I picked a lump of root out of the supermarket with "eyes" on it, little buds that then expand and burst to form the long stemmed leaves.
