I've discovered that there is a broad bean called Aquadulce that can be sown in the autumn. Ok this is the daft question - does it actually grow in the autumn, over winter and beans come in the spring, or does it grow and produce beans all before the winter comes? I figured it was the former bit I wasn't sure!

- I sowed 18 beans and they all came up, and required extremely minimal care. As already mentioned, only the very last of the harvest was affected by blackfly, and even then not too much.
