Hi All - my sweet peppers are about 3" tall and have been very happy on the windowsill in 4" pots under cloches. As it was sunny today, I have removed the cloches and an hour later the leaves are starting to curl up. I have been watering from below every couple of days. Can you help please?

Niki, are they in direct sunlight? You say you water from above, do the leaves get wet when you do it? Water on the leaves can act like a lense and scorch them. Where they are curling are they discoloured and crispy?

I've taken the advice of moving out of sunlight and am reintroducing it gradually, though I think I've probably lost half my peppers and chillies. Fortunately I had done rather a lot! This was a good lesson to learn. I am also letting them dry out between watering beneath, apparently they are not water lovers so I musn't leave them sitting in it, which I had done. I've put the convalescent ones in the blowaway GH which is shrouded in cream voile curtains at the moment to give it a bit of shade.Originally posted by niki View Postcurlin at edges goin yellow...lost me red one now....gunna water from underneath..thanksGranny on the Game in Sheffield
