    Am i right in thinking that this is where the plants are placed outside during the day and brought inside or sheltered in a green house over night to get them use to being outside. or is that completely wrong?

        My vegetables. They are radishes, brussles, beetroot,carrots and onions and courgettes.

          Thats my understanding of hardening off, and you do that for about 10 days - I'm sure I've read that before

            Thanks. Im on the right track then, thats always good to know. I also went and brought the Grow your own magazine so hopefully ill learn lots more from that too

              I always think the leaves feel different (sp) after they have been harden off, harder and thicker slightly... but that might just be me!
