split stem seedling

I have one that looks like a twin one from my early toms. I am 100% certain that I only sowed one seed. Has anyone ever seen a twin seedling emerge? It comes up in one stem then splits half way and has 2 sets of seed leaves.

Does it need separating? Or do I leave it? Or see what it does?

Leave it and see what it does You can always snip one half off later if it stays 'conjoined' Could have been 2 seeds stuck together?

i had a tomato plant do that last year,i just let it grow,and tied each stem on it's own cane was fine,

I had several like that last year with an early seeding, I don't know why but i have never seen it with seeds sown in March or April. About half died (far worse a loss rate than the single stems) but the others produced healthy, productive plants. I'd leave it alone and see what happens
