  • Determined not to be beaten

Last year my neighbour's Acontium (Monkshood) was stunning and produced loads of seed. They kindly gave me some seed and I was so excited. This spring I tried propogating 3 times but with no success

Do they need heat, dark, moisture...?

    Anyone have any advice?

It likes cool, damp, shady conditions to grow well.

They actually need some cold to germinate.
Sow spring to mid summer. Lightly cover seeds. After 6 weeks if no germination has taken place, put seeds in fridge for 6 weeks, then place in gentle heat 15-20°C
