  • Hello all you Grapeviners

Been secretly getting advice from all you lovely people, over the past 6 months or so.
Have finally had the nerve to join. I had a hit and miss first season last year as lots of other people did by the sounds of it.
I did every thing in pots last year. My dad has helped me landscape my small garden. Have one large bed and three small beds, two of them being slightly shady in the morning now. Just planning what to grow the moment.
I already have seed for :-
    Charlotte pots
    Pentland Javelin Pots
    eight ball courgettes
    Normal corgettes ( black beauty)
    Parsnips (hollow crown)
Cream Sausage Tomatos (unusual I know thats why i chose them)
    Zebra Toms
    little gem lettuce
    Black cherry toms
    purple calabash tomato( heritage)
    Apache f1 chilli pepper
    purple teepee dwarf beans
    Brussel sprouts falstaff
    various lettuce leaves

Sounds alot I know but thought I would grow 1 or 2 of each only to experiment what grows best round here. Any way chabbering on now.
Once again Hello all you grapeviners. expect lots of question from me.
    Tina
I think I'm the only grower in Coventry. Any body else there!

Hello Tina and welcome to the vine.

Aren't Dads (and Grandads) a great source of inspiration - Looks like you're going to have a bumper crop. Look forward to hearing how you get on.

        Hi Tina
And welcome to the Vine now that you have plucked up the courage to join us. You are growing a lot of diferent veggies, some of which I'm familiar with, others I know of but have neither grown, nor tasted nor even seen !
Good luck, and don't be shy - we are all here to help each other out - and to keep each other laughing too.
        All the best

Every one seems interested in my Cream sausage tomato. I bought the from mr Fothergills, in the heritage seed section. This is what is said about them on the packet.
" A real novelty with creamy coloured, unusual fruits on vigorous, bushy plants. They have a sweet flavour, can be used to make cream coloured tomato sauces for something very different and certainly makes slicing easier too! Semi-determinate elongated plum type."
