    hello

    i have just received 6 strawberry runners through the post. they are about 4" long do i have to plant them outside now or keep inside. please help

    hindsight is a wonderful thing but foresight is a whole lot better

    I'd plant them where you want them to stay. They are hardy and actually appreciate some cold in the winter. Give them chance to get some roots down.
    Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

      Yes, I agree. Put them in now and you will get a decent crop next year. I got my first lot in the spring this year and so they didn't have much chance to build up before flowering. They cropped, but next year will be better. This is much the best time of year to plant runners.

        Plant therm out now, while there is still warmth in the soil. They will then have a chance to get established before winter.l
