Hi, is the ash from my woodburner any good for putting on the garden anywhere?
    Cheers

Woodash is good for the garden, just store it under cover (got a spare dustbin?) and then add as a top dressing and hoe in. Woodash is high in potash, if that helps!

The OH has a woodburner in his shed and keeps dumping the contents under the fruit bushes etc straight from the fire, no matter how much I ask him not to! No harm has come to the rasps/currants/goosgoogs yet! But it is unslightly and can "cake" if you don't hoe it in.
If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!

scatter the ash over your gooseberries if you have any ...kills saw fly ...but over so it lands on the leaves.
