Mine are almost ready to plait, I'll be plaiting the red ones too, though can you tell me when you plait do you fold over the rest of the stems or plait them in wholly????
I was hoping they would dry out enough to plait them whole. I was using the string method of plaiting string in with them, so if they get wayward I'd chop it off and hopefully the onion would still stay put.

Might try it with the remaining garlics this weekend; I'll report back.

    ETA: Thanks Lemon.

Are you gonna start an overwintering onions trial zazen? I too love onions & garlic, but have never overwintered either. When and how autumn onions from seed? When the moon is in the 7th house?

Happy to do an overwinter onion trial...I'll have a think about suitable numbers etc and get back to you!

Looking forward to finishing the Garlic one tomorrow......first cloves went in in Sept so it's a long term project.
