Interesting tips. If you don't me asking in your thread, about fruit drop.

I grow figs in Taiwan and Canada and the Taiwan plants are always filled with fruit but prematurely drop the fruit. I notice leaf drop too on lower leaves. No bug pests notice. Any thoughts?

Maybe pruning as you guys mention will help create stronger fruit?

Fruit drop is usually due to lack of pollination.

If it is just lower leaves dropping I wouldn't worry, it is probably just shedding them to put energy elsewhere. If the leaves are discoloured than possibly a nutrient imbalance.
