    Mine took about 4 weeks to get to this point:



    I am moving a 35ish year old bush to my plot this winter. The cuttings are insurance.

        I think you can take them just about any time but I could be wrong.

          The best time to take cuttings is late autumn, but any time through to spring will work. Taking cuttings now might work if there is awet autumn, however it is safer to wait till late October.

            When I pick the fruit I actually cut off the branches and sit down to pick the fruit off. This makes fruit picking much better and gets much of the pruning over with.
            All the sticks are stuck in a bucket of water and left.

            Most will sprout roots. I leave mine until Spring but someone I've suggested this method too already has roots which are big enough to have planted the stick out.
