Bit off topic but I enjoyed limited success with a pineapple top awhile back. It grew slowly for a few months, then gave up and rotted. I also tried papaya seeds a couple of times; getting them to germinate and grow on was easy enough, but they didn't exactly flourish, too cold I suspect. Little projects like this are good fun when there's not much going on with the regular veggies. Definitely interested in the mango tree's progress

120 years. 100 years for the British climate to warm to Mediterranean levels and then another 20 years after you've sown it.
