      Thanks for all your replies I have plenty of space so will grow both summer and autumn . I only now have to work over the bed to get it ready and think of a way of controlling the roots as I have been warned the can spread if not checked .

        Some real old varieties, because they need love too,

        Lloyd George,an old red, a real zesty, tangy punchy flavour

        and anything yellow fruited,

        maybe the Glen Coe, purple fruiter

        or ive found quite nice and comming down nicely in price
        the apricot coloured fruiter valentina
