Size of Kiwi fruit vine- warning!!

I bought a plant from Lidl last week, unkown variety but assume that it will be a self-fertile variety. The lable gives a height of 1 m. I await to see how big it grows with great interest!!!!

Most varieties come in male and female type so I wouldn't be too sure about the self fertile bit.

where can i get one of these from please?

i want something to grow up and over my chicken runs and this seems ideal.

it cant really get too out of control where it is and we pass it every day so should be easy to trim.

They have very pretty, peach coloured flowers in clusters, they're relatively small though, compared to the leaves. I'll take some photos when it flowers.
The bees like them and they are scented. It would be a worthwhile garden plant - if it was under control

jps - lidl or aldi usually have them cheap at some point in the summer. Pot them on immeidately though.

I know, taff! Why does forbidden fruit always tempt? Or toning that down, why does everyone want a Kiwi fruit when they've seen what a thug it is???

Bins, you're a genius!! If I catch the slugs and set them loose on the kiwi, they'll prune it for me and no slugs will be harmed in the making of this commercial

Kiwi before and after some hacking

After partial hacking so that I could walk under it - 30th July.

After more brutal hacking - lost some fruit in the process but there is still some in the remaining bit of this monster. This week - my arms ache!!
