My favourite tree in the whole world!! i want to grow from seed or cuttings, as they are so expensive to buy. Does it definitely need to be frost/winter protected? Anyone who can spare a cutting? Does anyone have experience of propagating or general advice on Lemon Trees please? Would love to know more...

We got a dwarf Lemon tree and a dwarf Orange tree from the local Wyevale before xmas, potted up in 12" pots, the live indoors on the living room windowsill (south facing) and are producing fruit! We've about 5 small ripe oranges, 1 lemon approaching ripeness and 2 green lemons atm! Mr D wanted them as soon as he saw them, and when they went to half price we got them straight away! Just a shame they'd sold out of limes, as it would have been nice to have a small lime aswell, but we'll keep our eyes peeled and see what comes along in the future!

Lemon Trees from Pips

Thought nothing would happen so didnt bother watering them, and walla, theres the new trees coming, it seems like some things want to suffer a bit with dryness before they develop.

Does anybody know if there might be the same problems that you could get from sowing supermarket veg seeds - i.e. with them not being disease resistant?

(Sorry, I'm very new to all this growing, and easily excited )
