    Yes, but I would also be looking to either plant it into the ground or a larger pot once you get a good root system going.

      Strawberries are always better in the second and third year then they need replacing with the runners that you took off, if you take runners every year you will have a continuous supply of plants, sell or give away any spare potted runners.

        Why do strawb plants need replacing after 2 or 3 yrs? I don't understand that bit?

        So the idea is to start planting up some runners as the replacements then?

          Strawberries plants will last over 5 years then the crop will start to get less. You should get lots of runners to replace your initial plants and more.
