  • Vicky tree?

My Victoria plum tree has canker..............and a lot of it! She's definitely on borrowed time but I'll keep her going as long as I can because I love the fruit (not so much nowadays). I know it's not good to grow the same tree in the same place and I wouldn't want to because the tree is actually too close to a huge hedge so a baby tree would have no chance in getting the water it will need. So my question is......have any of you more expert than I people had any success to growing a Victoria Plum tree in a pot. I have a large 64cm wide by 50cm deep oak barrel.
What are my chances of enjoying any fruit in the future?

Sorry its taken me so long to say thank-you for your response. I'll look into that. Few family health issues atm so I'm a bit distracted.
