  • Strawb varieties

I've given up on my raised beds for strawberries, and am going to create a bed at soil level at the lottie. I took about 10 runners before I dismantled the raised bed thus evicting the family of mice that I found had been living there, very cute but not welcome! The runners are now nice healthy litttle plants. They are the variety Honeoye, so I am looking for recommendations for other varieties. I think Honeoye are earlyish, so perhaps some late varieties - flavour is everything for me and if they're fairly big, all the better. Thanks all.

    Are y'oroight booy?

I tried germinating seeds from supermarket fruit and got a whole motley crew of plants. I saved one or two that had nice fruit.
I inherited some with my allotment. They are nice and sweet but only about the size of cheap supermarket fruit.
