I've inherited some kind of large plum tree in the new garden. there's a little dwarf one at the front too and we got a few lovely deep red ones off that which are fine.
The big one has a problem though. Loads of fruit at green stage but they seem to be rotting in one patch and then fall off and none ripening at all.
i have no idea what sort it is and have never ever had plums before so complete novice.
I'd been thinking to identify the type once they'd ripened but no go. Also if this is something drastic maybe I should be doing something about it in case it 'infects' the other.
