  • Orange Raspberry

not been on for a while, thought id share a little pic of my raspberry experiments, notice something a little different! (im orange) all raspberries in this pic ive bred myself, the smaller yellows are its sister, the red and dark red another type ive raised from seed
really shocked by this little ones colour, hes completly different, i grow over 30 types of raspberries( all the usuall ones and blacks, purples and yellow raspberries,
and have nothing close to this in colour, taken me 3 years to get to this point,
pic was taken about 3 hours ago at my allotment, raised him for 2 years in a pot and he went into open ground in febrauary with about 20 other experiments, berry is melting and mild, very little seed, amazingly enough the parent was a thorny raspberry, but this one has thornless canes ,some of its sisters have come with thorny canes, been some dissapointing results with the hybrid berry seedlings, but the raspberry experiments have mostly come good, as you can see, enjoy

I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."
