Tesco fruit trees

We planted a cherry fpr my sone when he was born, and it fruited heavily last year (after only 3 years too). We moved it when we moved house and there are buds coming so fingers crossed.
I have planted a pear, and a plum and a peach in the new house (it already has a big apple) and got to decide which is for my 9 month old. It's a nice idea we thought as the trees can grow with the boys!

I might have to go and have a looksee in Tesco as love a bargain even if not got enough room!

Has anyone seen grape vines in any of the supermarkets. I am looking for a red and a white to add to my fruit area, but not seen any yet? Or should I be taking a bit more time and trouble over selecting this type of fruit?

hi the fruit trees mentioned are they patio and do they look like maidens or do they look a couple of years old, i prefer trees a few years old as they are normally certified and you dont have to wait so long for fruiting, my nearest big tesco extra is 15 miles away ive got broken ribs at mo so dont want to go unless its what i want. still gardening slowly as 23 fruit bushes 40 raspberry canes 70 strawberry runners wont plant themselves nor will my other 50 odd plants care for themselves. the gardening bug sparkes motivation even when you know you should be laid on the sofa feeling sorry for yourself, but the weather was too good to pass on, i hope my ribs forgive me!!!!!!!
As a woman this is multi tasking at its best nursing knackered ribs and gardening at same time.

grapevines are slow growing dont expect fruit for min 3 years Blackmoor Nurseries, Suppliers Of Top Quality Fruit Trees and Soft Fruit Bushes Mail Order, The UKs Leading Speacialist Fruit Nursery. has some great grape vine choices, worth noting (grape vines do best on south facing walls even better in a south facing green house) also if you were thinking seedless only lakemont a green seedless grows well in england especially if you dont live in the south, most suppliers tell me red or black seedless dont grow in uk as weather as not warm enough. No wonder we made better beer than wine! ha ha

My feeble will power gave up and I bought a really smashing looking cherry at tesco's today (who knows what it'll fruit like?!). However I did notice on the labels that the 'Display until' date was the 9th April (wed). I don't know if that means they will stop selling them after this date, or it was just this batch? Just incase anyone was thinking of getting one...or three!

i went to tescos display date is cos there wrapped in plastic head to toe so will sweat and die if left to long, i went hoping they would be patio or dwarf trees as i can only grow in pots but these trees are full sized when mature, i may have got away with the cherry if i kept well cut back but decided on the local nursery where i got my trees on the dwarf root stock, there expert was great and for a nursery prices good too £17 - £19 for trees that are 4 and 5 year old so can be let to fruit as the nursery picked of first years fruit last year. went mad though and got 7
