Ground far too wet to do anything - gosh I wish I could get weeding! The black plastic I put down to kill the weeds...............I've got four or five beautiful "ponds" at the moment! Not funny! DDL

I realise about the MDF, that's why I got the old bit with sealant along all the edges! Might even get some of the iron on stuff to keep it waterproof for a bit longer.

            • Madderbat,
Glad you managed to get ahold of the window frames for a coldframe at home.
There'll be no stopping you now!
I work for a lovely young couple on a Friday, and they are soon dispensing with two fabulous glass and timber internal doors as they're having some posh solid wooden doors made (doncha know...) for their dining room, and the ones being dispensed with have got my name written all over them!!
i.e. they're coming home with ME!

                • DDL will try and remember when I go down in the week to get kale and carrots. Then will have to take the plunge with the downloadable software and who know where that may lead.

                    • Winter Harvest

We took full advantage of the weather to spend a full day on the plots. Lots of chipped bark was laid on the paths to keep them clean and weed free and some weeding was done between the fruit bushes.

In addition the autumn bliss raspberries were cut down to the ground and best of all 8 new fruit trees were temporarily put into 25 litre barrels till our new allotment is cleared ready to be made into an orchard.

Finally we made good with a harvest of cabbage, leeks, new potatoes, carrots and the last of the chillies.

                      • Embaressingly little.

One of those days that nothing much got done.
Combined visiting mother in her care home on the other side of the county with collecting a plough attaching bracket for my Howard 350.

Came away with bracket, plough, wheel and front weights, just need to find the axle extension now.

Put up AGM notices for the society at my site and took the dog for a two hour walk.
