How close is the plot to you, could you take the stuff with you. I would probably not bother with a shed in that case. Can't advise on if to take the plot, probably check other sites before deciding.

Our site has security fencing all round but we still get breakins ...We have a shed. its not locked but there again anyone noseying in would think it'd already been ransacked. We leave tools there but not expensive ones or power type stuff. The only crop damage has all come from rabbits, rats/mice or pigeons .

You need to speak to other plot holders to find out the true picture, how often this sort of thing actually occurs and to what extent. You can't make a decision based on a single comment and it may be better (or worse) than you think at the moment.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

May be worth finding out what sort of damage it tends to be, too. It is awful having your plot vandalised but the vandals that visited our plot last year didn't do half as much damage as the rabbits. If they are just looking for tools to nick and all you have down there is spuds it may not be a problem - tho u may want to stay on other waiting lists too so's you can eventually have a shed and tools. U could regard this plot as 'experimental'. That's what I'd do any road.
