If you live in this area, there are 4 or 5 vacant half plots at the Coldharbour allotment site near Mottingham Village. They are in Greenwich borough and not cheap I am afraid. Greenwich has recently hiked up the prices massively, hence the vacancies.
Prices for a Half Plot (5 rods)
Greenwich resident �100/year
Greenwich resident concessions �50/year
Non-Greenwich resident �200/year
Non-Greenwich resident concessions �100/year
Concessions are for over 60s (I think) and certain benefits claimants.
Soil type is clay but very workable and nicely fertile - I am merely a plotholder and have no connection with Greenwich. I would just like to see a full site to build a friendly community group of veg loving plotters.
