Unbelievable. The allotments on my road have a seven year waiting list, yet these new ones they have built they are just going to sell with no regards for who has been waiting.

Get your MP onto this. I think that in England Government approval is needed before allotments can be sold off although I am not certain of that.

They're not actually selling off the land as in selling for development. They are expecting people on the waiting list for allotments to pay �300 ish for the privilege of beating the queue. Disgraceful all the same.

Given that the idea of allotments is to provide people who can't otherwise afford ground to grow vegetables in, yes this is deplorable.
