    Yes but if you keep on top of it it gets better. If you're not using the bed immediately then covering after having dug (black plastic/weed suppressant) also helps weaken it. I too have bindweed (and couch). Frankly I find bindweed is the easier to manage.

      I would actually say it's better to leave a bed uncovered even if you're not sowing in to it straight away, as that way you'll soon spot the weeds poking up and can easily pull them up before sowing

        They are uncovered at the moment as I've nowhere near finished with them. I had planned to go back down today but rain has stopped play and tomorrow we have a weather warning for rain all day. Bet they are all back as they were when I finally get down there with this weather

          Weeds grow quick, but not THAT quick thankfully, or I certainly wouldn't stand a chance lol
