    I'll do just that then, thanks folks!

    (And yep, we've several plants and a handful of seeds for a straight to lottie sowing in a couple weeks, this guy isn't/wasn't our only plant)

      Even sunny windowsills don't give enough light for proper plant growth, but they are ok for starting young seedlings off. Full outdoor daylight is around 10,000–25,000 lux, with sunlight being more. A windowsill isn't that bright, and it only comes from one side.

      The other problem is warmth: Bean needs constant warmth, day & night, and windowsills get very cold at night. If the plant gets chillled, it will stop growing, start turning yellow, then die.

      However, you're now only a few weeks away from it being warm enough at night for Bean to go outside permanently, so all is not lost.
