Actually it's probably not woodchip, that sounds like it's that's dry stuff, it's what we get delivered and dumped from the council, tons of it, I've used it for paths, cos it's been there some time it us full of worms.

It will be wood chipping Dotty but I wouldn't worry about it if it's well rotted. It's the rotting process that takes the nitrogen so if it's not rotting then your soil should be fine.

Phew, I nearly had a bads night sleep then!

I put it all round my fruit bushes last year and they were amazing, pounds of fruit, and very few weeds.
