  • Peat free Jiffy pots?

    Hi,
I'm looking for pots and would like to ask if anyone knows if these are peat free?
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Jiffy-...45438338386893
Alternatively, does anyone know contact details (pref e-mail) for Jiffy?

Haven't seen any peat free ones personally.

If you wanted a peat free growing medium (that you can plant and forget about) have you looked into those devices that turn compost into a block, which seeds are sown and then put into a larger block, etc etc?

Check the bottom of this PDF out: http://www.johnnyseeds.com/assets/pd...ck%20Maker.pdf

Thanks for the info Chris, may consider the device one day.
Just didn't notice they were an Unwins product.
I have checked the Unwins site but they don't appear to have them listed.

usually if it doesn't say, then it's peat.
You can get coir ones or make your own pots from newspaper
