  • What is eating my beans???

I have planted broad beans,(raised in modules) Despite sprinkling with soil dust to stop whatever crimps the edges they are looking distinctly poorly. Looking through the leaves I found some flies lurking that are about the size of a flying ant.
    Please can anyone advise.

Pea & bean weevil. Not serious.

Have a search, there're several threads running on it at the mo (you aren't alone )

Soil dust. Fine fine dusty soil. Sprinkle
over leaves when watered. It sticks to
        leaves and supposedly clogs mouths
        of munching insects.......obviously not
my munching insects!!! Thanks for advice
        from all.

          I've never heard of that.

Won't it stop the leaves photosynthesising too?
