Allotment Pictures

My boyfriend and I have just been given a plot, in a brand new site. So it's a completely clean slate. We're still kind of undecided about what we want it to look like in the end. If any of you have pictures of your sites I would love to see them! Just for a little inspiration, and because looking at allotment photos is fun.

Hi

I got my allotment in June 2007. I took some pics of it when we first started (my neighbour is strimming) and some pics from last June / July. We have now dug over the whole plot in the winter and will be constructing single height raised beds from the sleepers currently making the leek trenches. That space will soon be for the new chickens.

Good luck. Its hard work but the rewards far outweigh the effort. BTW i work full time and im 26 years old. Not an old hand at this which may inspire you further!

We didnt they were already there. It seems the previous owner (apart from using the allotment as a drinking ground) was a keen leek grower hence the long leek trenches.

Where you see the netted beds on the foor; this whole patch has been dug over and we will be de-constructing the leek beds and using the sleepers to make single height raised beds on the floor.
