    That's lucky then. Normal grass can be dug in (bury it under at least one spit of soil or it'll regrow). Make sure it's not in seed either

      My neighbour and I have a joint pile of stuff for burning and so they all go on there.

      I had left a pile of them on the path for a few weeks and when I went to pick them up today they had started to take root!

        Here are some shots of the bit of weedy ground I'm clearing at the moment.

        The cardboard had been down since the start of the year. I dug it over this week, it was virtually weed-free

          I will be using this for two beds on the new lottie but I have a bindweed problem so will still have to dig after the event to take out as much root as I can
