You will probably have a bit of a job to get hold of seed potatoes now, but if you buy a bag of supermarket new potatoes (small ones) you should be able to plant them and get results. "New" potatoes take around 13 weeks from planting to cropping so if you have the space available then give it a go. New potatoes middle to end of September sounds good to me.

It will be a race to get them cropping before the blight comes along in July/August and kills the lot ...

John.. give it a go...our local garden centre is still selling seed potatoes, second earlies believe it or not!! Get some from somewhere, pop them in and see what happens..
Maybe report back later to tell us how nice they were.

Lottie shop here threw loads away last week, gave me some to give away and I couldnt get rid of them, I have now left the sacks on the site for peeps to help themselves. If they are still there next weekend I will ditch them in the hedge. ( marfona, pentland crown and golden wonder ).

Set that up last year before i got the Lottie 2 weeks ago

Will probably only use it next year for salad things
and keep the lotty purely vegies and fruits

Unfortunately i lost my driveway in the process though
